Over the past month we have seen the worlds AW17-18 fashion week presentations. This was the chance for designers, brands and fashion houses to display their latest collections to the worlds media.
In this article we confirm the colour forecast Angelia predicted last year for the Autumn Winter 2017- 2018 season and share further colour analysis that was seen on the catwalks of New York, London, Paris and Milan this February 2017.

Bejewelled Greens - Confirmation

Rich jewel greens were flooding the catwalks for AW17-18. The use of luxe fabrics like faux fur, lace, velvet and sateen were used. Bold complimentary colours such a fuchsia and turquoise used to add a pop of colour for a statement palette but was also paired down with natural tones.

Chilled Ecru - Confirmation

Using tone on tone palettes were popular with the fashion houses for AW17-18. Using texture was important, winter fabric such as faux furs, feathers, and lace were paired with stunning silks. The use of pale champagne and soft pinks are key. Another clear colour confirmation for the season.

Catwalk Analysis - Blue Hues

Deep indigo and midnight blues were shown heavily throughout the catwalk presentations. From the deep tones to the softer petrol and dusky shades. The use of contrasting fabrics such a layered dobby tulle, layers of chiffon over lace and satin bring an air of sophistication.

Catwalk Analysis - Olive

Greens are moving more towards olive tones for this AW17-18. The use of fabrications such as satin and silk add depth to this shade. Occasionwear was seen with the use of tulle and lace mixing with embellished details. Highlights of plum and dusky violet were added for a pretty edge.

Catwalk Analysis - Metallics

Every tone from Silver, Pewter and Gold were used on the latest catwalks. As well as the traditional colours we also see the use of metallics in olive greens, deep plums and reds just to name a few. Whether fabric be sheer with added sparkle or full sequin gowns, a touch of decadent sheen is a must for AW17-18.
